Mrunmayee and ‘Mann Fakira’ stars begin their film’s promotion on roads
Actress turned director Mrunmayee Deshpande and her lead stars of the film ‘Mann Fakira’ have started the promotion of their film on Mumbai and Pune roads by carrying the banners to make an appeal to film lovers not to miss their film. Their film is all set to release on 6th March. So, this kind of promotion is helping them to closely interact with the prospective audience . And the film lovers have also responded them positively.
Now, how it will help them invite them to cinema theatres, it remains to be seen. The locations selected for this road show by the artistes were Vile Parle and Andheri areas in Mumbai and Good Luck hotel and Deccan Gymkhana in Pune. Besides Suvrat Joshi and Sayali Sanjeev the film also stars Anjali Patil and Ankit Mohan.
Ajinkya Deo to play central character in ‘Zolzaal’
After taking a break for four years from Marathi films, popular Marathi actor Ajinkya Deo is making a comeback into Marathi films through forthcoming film Zolzaal , directed by Manas Kumar Das. Ajinkya’s last Marathi film was ‘Nagpur Adhiveshan’ in 2016. Thereafter, he was busy with Hindi and English serials and web series. Recently, we saw him in an important role in super hit Hindi film ‘Tanhaji’.
Playing the central character of Abhimanyu Shinde, this is the most challenging role offered to Ajinkya Deo. Speaking about this role he says, “I am happy to be back with Marathi films .Though I was busy with other Hindi projects, I always wanted to do Marathi film, but was waiting for the right kind of role. With this film, I have found this role, through my friend and producer of this film Anand Pathak. Moreover, I liked this particular role because it has different shades in its character. “
Milind Gunaji shows the way
Known for his commitment and sincerity Milind Gunaji has earned a good name in film industry. Recently, when he was casted for an important role in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’, Milind asked for the script before he proceeded to Bangkok for the shooting of his another film.
When he returned from Bangkok, Milind reported for the shooting of ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ as per the schedule. He took no time to get ready for shoot, as he was prepared with his dialogues. This clearly displayed his professionalism in this acting field. More so, his preparations made the director Shantanu Rode more than happy.
Milind plays the role of Inamdar a rich person in this film, who loves his wife through his heart and meets all her demands happily. Producer Akshay Bardapurkar I highly impressed with the choice of Milind for this role and feels that he perfectly fits into this character.
Pushkar Jog – Amruta Khanvilkar starrer ‘Well Done Baby’
Three big production companies namely Anand Pandit Motion Pictures,Production Head Quarters UK & Goosebumps Entertainment owned by producers Anad Pandit, Mohan Nadar and Pushkar Jog have joined hands together to produce forthcoming Marathi film ‘Well Done Baby’, which is all set for release on 12th June 2020.
Starring Pushkar Jog and Amruta Khanvilkar in the lead roles , the story of this film revolves around a young couple which fails to understand the importance of their relationship ; but destiny gives them another chance to come to an understanding. Veteran actress Vandana Gupte also plays an important role in this film.
This is the first time Pushkar and Amruta are working together and therefore their photos have become viral on social media , generating more curiosity about this film.

Gashmeer mahajani and Pooja Sawant starrer ‘Bonus’ directed by Saurabh Bhave received good response for its teaser and trailer on social media. The lead pair will be seen together for the first time along with veteran artistes like Dr. Mohan Agashe and Jayant Wadkar. The story of this film revolves around youngsters.
The second film ‘Bhaybheet’ directed by Deepak Naidu clearly indicates with its title that it will be horror or rather suspense filled film, starring versatile actor Subodh Bhave with Poorva Gokhale Madhu Sharma, Girija Joshi, Mrunal Jadhav and Yatin Karyekar in prominent roles. ‘Bhaybheet’ is incidentally Subodh Bhave’s first film releasing during the year 2020.
The third film directed by cinematographer turned director Shabbir Naik seems to be a romantic comedy with youngsters like Amruta Deshmukh and Sangram Samel in the lead roles.And the fourth film ‘Kesari’ directed by Sujay Dahake is a sports oriented film, set on the backdrop of Wrestling sport, which presents the story of a youngster from a poor family, who puts in all efforts to achieve his dream of winning the prestigious ‘Maharashtra Kesri’ award. Their next film together ‘Darling’ is an effort to create something that is out of the box and win every one’s hearts. That’s what both of them have claimed. Amit Dhupe, Ajay Thakur, V.J. Shalaka and Nikhil Khajindar have produced the film ‘Darling’ under the banner of 7 Horse Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., V. Patke Films and Kathakar Motion Pictures. The names of the cast and credits of the film have not been announced yet . However, looking at the unique poster of the film, there is big hope that this time director Sameer Asha Patil will offering a pleasant surprise with not only his subject but also the star cast in his film. Sameer Asha Patil has promised that very soon he will make announcement about the star cast of the film as well as the technical crew . But, the date of release of this film has been announced as 12 th June .
Gajendra Ahire celebrates Golden Jubilee with ‘Bidi Bakada’
Known for some of his memorable films most of which have been women oriented films, writer- film maker Gajendra Ahire has completed Golden Jubilee of his film with ‘Bidi Bakada’ being his 50th Marathi films. A passionate film maker that he is, Gajendra Ahire has also turned 50 with this film, which is a big coincidence. All his 50 films presented different subjects and most of them related to problems faced by women in society. Each one of his film had new subject.
If you observe the character of Vidya presented by him through his film ‘Gulmohur’, Mani in his film ‘Sarivar Sari’, Mrs. Raut , Bayo and so on, the woman protagonist is seen crossing all the barriers created by age old traditions. In short, as a film maker, he has been so deeply involved in presenting the most relevant problems of
women in this male dominated society.
On February 16th this year Gajendra Ahire reached the milestone of 50 as far as his own age and number of films made by him is concerned. For the past 17 years he has been actively involved in making all these quality films, which itself is a new record.
