Now, all set to release their film, the makers of ‘Tamasha Live’ have timely released the second song of their film, to uncover the competition in television media for the ‘Breaking News’. This song is written by Kshitij Patwardhan and rendered by Amitraj,Sajan Bendre and Vaishali Samant on the music of Amitraj. According to the makers of this film, each song of ‘Tamasha Live’ has a different style and there is an event happening  in each song.

 ‘Fad Lagalay’ song is picturised on Siddharth Jadhav and Hemangi Kavi with choreography by Umesh Jadhav. Speaking about this song, lyricist Kshitij Patwardhan says, “All songs in this film good. I am very happy about it. First time, as a lyricist, I got an opportunity through this film to present variety. You will find a combination of different expressions through these songs.”

Inspired by ‘Y’ couple name their daughter ‘Mukta’

Some films make such an impact on the audience that they are inspired by not only the subject, but also the realistic performance of the artistes. One such film is Marathi film ‘Y’, which has invited the attention of the audience for strongly raising the important issue of Female foeticide. Inspired by the film’s strong subject, a couple from Kolhapur Sai Rajeshirke Deshmane and Manoj Deshmane not only booked the Inox theatre show of this film, but also performed the naming ceremony of their daughter during this film’s show.

Deshmane couple was blessed with a daughter , 10 years after their marriage. And therefore, they wanted to send a strong message through their invitees through this film, besides celebrating the naming ceremony of their dear daughter. The couple had very much wished for a girl child. Above all, they named their daughter ‘Mukta’ during the naming ceremony, which appealed to all the invitees. This is also a big compliment to Mukta Barve, the leading lady of this film and the makers of this film

 Marathi film ‘Dharmaveer’ which celebrates 50th  day of its release, is now available on Zee 5 OTT platform. A well presented film by director Pravin Tarde ,‘Dharmaveer‘ focusses more on the ideology of dynamic Shiv Sena leader from Thane Late Anand Dighe and actor Prasad Oak has done full justice to this character of a revolutionary leader, with his wonderful performance. But, more than that director Pravin Tarde has cleverly made this two hours 50 minutes long film interesting, with action filled sequences supported by some attention grabbing emotion filled moments.

The Character of the present chief minister of Maharashtra Mr. Eknath Shinde has lot of prominence in this film, as he is shown as the most trusted man of Anand Dighe. The focus is more on the present day happening where the character of Mr. Eknath Shinde as Minister played by Kshitij Date walks in for the 20th death anniversary event of his mentor Late Anand Dighe, which is being covered by a female Journalist . She has very little knowledge about Mr. Anand Dighe through Google search and is briefed by a local Auto Rickshaw driver and his narration about Dharmaveer Anand Dighe takes you in flashback.

Technically it is a well made film with perfect editing work by Mayur Hardas and excellent cinematography by Kedar Gaikwad. Many renowned Marathi artistes like Mohan Joshi, Abhijit Khandkekar, Mangesh Desai have appeared in small but important roles in this film. At the same time Kshitij Date, Shruti Marathe, Makarand Padhye, Vijay Nikam, Snehal Tarde and others have supported well through their respective important characters. ‘Dharmaveer’ is certainly a worth watch film, to understand the rise of Shiv Sena in Maharashtra politics with the help of such a dedicated leader  from Thane and his trusted team members.

Sai Tujha Lekaru …  song from ‘Timepass3′ released

Songs have always played an important role in film’s success. Having witnessed this in previous two parts, the makers of  ‘Timepass 3′ have released a musical dance song (Sai Tujha Lekaru) pictured on Prathamesh Parab, Bhau Kadam and others which is dedicated to Spiritual master Sai Baba, seeking his blessings for Dagadu the lead character of this film, played by Prathamesh Parab.

The song titled ‘Sai Tujha Lekaru….’ In the voices of Amitraj and Aadarsh Shinde is written by Kshitij Patwardhan with the music by Amitraj. The dance for this song has been choreographed by Rahul Thombre and Sanjeev Hovaldar. According to the makers, like the first two parts, the songs of this Part 3 of ‘Timepass’ will also become popular. Produced by Zee Studios and Athang Communications, ‘Timepass3’ is directed by Ravi Jadhav. Hruta Durgule is playing the female lead with her character of  Pallavi opposite Dagadu played by Prathamesh.

 For the past few days there has been a lot of talk about Director Sanjay Jadhav’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Tamasha Live’. The teaser of this film had indicated that this film would be a musical action thriller. But now, with the release of its official teaser, it has become clear that it would be a political thriller with Television media playing a very important role in this political drama with their so called ‘breaking news’.

Abhijit Panse who recently released his web series ‘RaanBazaar’, a political thriller received a good response on OTT platform. Perhaps, looking at the popularity of such subjects among home viewers, he is now ready to offer another web series, on the current political scenario in Maharashtra through his new web series ‘Raji Nama’ suitably titled to invite the attention of viewers.

 The year 2019 had not seen grand success of any Marathi film till 28th June, the day Milind Kavade’s film ‘Takatak’ was released. This film broke all the records as far as the box office was concerned with unprecedented success , in and around that year. Actually, this adult comedy saw the light of the day, during that phase. The memories of film’s release and subsequent success are still fresh in the memory of the entire team of ‘Takatak’.

Recently, this entire team including Prathamesh Parab recalled and celebrated the happy occasion in a grand way, by cutting a cake. The artistes of this film and producers were present in happy mood. Speaking on this occasion Says Writer-director Milind Kavde said,  “The biggest success that the film managed to achieve is the love it received from all the audience. The actors do their job on the screen while we perform behind the stage in the background but not many are aware of the contribution of the people who work behind the scene but Takatak success reinforced the belief.”

 Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ is the topic of discussion among Marathi film lovers for the past few days. The film lovers are naturally inquisitive about this film, as the title of this film takes them down memory lane into the Black n White era, about Sane Guruji and the timeless songs  from Sane Guruji’s writings start ringing in their minds . There was also lot of curiosity as to who will compose the music for such a unique project. Now the suspense is over and  senior composer Ashok Patki is all set to compose the songs for the film.

This film is produced by Amruta Arun Rao under the banner of Amruta Films. Sujay Dahake, who has directed many ambitious films, is directing ‘Shyamchi Aai.’ After completing the first schedule of ‘Shyamchi Aai’ in Konkan, the second and most crucial schedule has also been completed in Panhala. It was only after that , Ashok Patki joined the film and made sure the music would be melodious too. Patki, known as the king of jingles, has given music to dramas and serials along with many films for the past several years.  Now, as ‘Shyamchi Aai,’ he has been entrusted with an important responsibility. The film will have a total of three songs.

Reacting to his role as music director,Mr. Patki said that ‘Shyamchi Aai’ is, till today, a milestone in Marathi cinema. The songs in this film, which reflect Sane Guruji’s thoughts, are also very meaningful. As a musician, it is up to me to identify and convey the meaning to the audience through music. Patki also clarified that these songs would be sung by leading singers in the field of music

Mukta Barve receives spontaneous response from audience


Mukta Barve starrer Marathi film ‘Y’ has been receiving very good response from the audience especially in Pune. Ever since her film’s poster showing her carrying torch in her hand was released, her fans were curious to know about her character in this film. And now, after watching her protagonist character the audience seem to have convinced with the message offered by this film, through her strong character.

During one show of this film in Pune theatre, some women carried torch in their hands to show open support and solidarity to the lead character of this film played by Mukta Barve. This was happening for the first time in a cinema hall. Responding to this spontaneous reaction from the audience, Mukta Barve said, “This film speaks about a burning issue , which happens around us but majority of the people ignore these issues. The film has therefore tried to reach out to the people and invite their attention. Now, people are taking such issues seriously and this is our big achievement.”
