Marathi actress Anuja Sathe steals the show in Hindi Web Series
Last week we had written about a big group of Marathi artistes inviting all the attention in a mega Hindi serial. Now, we have taken notice of one more Marathi actress who had made it big in Hindi Web series. Actually, Hindi web series have given ample scope to many talented Marathi artistes, but to bag a lead and title role is something creditable.
Prominent among the Marathi artistes bagging title role in Hindi web series is Anuja Sathe Gokhale. Anuja plays title role in ‘Ek Thi Begam’. She was already there in Season 1 of this web series, but now, in Season 2 she has much wider scope, playing an angry young woman who is in search of the Don responsible for her husband’s murder. In Season 2 you will see her handling a gun, for which she has taken proper training to present her character more realistically.
This is not the first time, Actress Anuja Sathe has been offered the lead role. Earlier she played the lead character of Dhara Solanki the main protagonist in Hindi serial ‘Tamanna’ , besides playing prominent role of Radhabai in ‘Peshwa bajirao’ serial and ‘Khoob Ladi Mardaani – Jhansi Ki Rani’, where she played a negative role of Jankibai. Incidentally, Anuja also played important characters in popular Hindi films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Blackmail’ & ‘Parmanu – the story of Pokhran’. Gayatri Datar attempts something different Big Boss
Well, we all know that the participants of Big Boss keep trying something different to become popular among the viewers and at the same time grab the attention of the eyes of Big Boss. Now, a video of Gayatri Datar which has become viral on social media clearly suggests that she has expressed her love for Big Boss in front of the closed circuit camera in her room.
It is a different thing how much we as viewers should believe in such gimmicks of the participants, but now, this video going viral , we look forward to different gimmicks attempted by other participants in days to come. Obviously, they too will have something to offer to remain in news. With KBC Hindi and IPL matches in progress, this reality show faces tough competition. Marathi artistes grab attention in Hindi Serial ”Punyashlok Ahilyabai’
Over the years many Marathi artistes with their stage background have been able to display their acting skills through popular Hindi serials, thus reaching the viewers worldwide. Some names that come to our mind are Sulbha Deshpande, Ashok Saraf, Bharati Achrekar, Neena Kulkarni, Usha Nadkarni, Reema Lagoo, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Bhargavi Chirmule and many others who grabbed prominent roles in Hindi TV serials, besides also making it big in the Hindi film industry. But, have you noticed majority of Marathi artistes in one Hindi TV serial that too in a big budget period drama ?
We are talking about the ongoing popular Hindi TV serial ‘Punyashlok Ahilyabai’ a biographical period drama on the life of Ahilyabai Holkar the great female Sardar of the Maratha empire in Central India. This historical serial is being aired on Sony Television from Mon to Fri @ 7.30 pm. The serial has already completed 100 episodes successfully, with best screenplay supported by excellent performances by the artistes, majority of whom are from our Marathi stage, television and film industry.
The lead character of Malharrao Holkar is played by Rajesh Shringarpure known for his rich graceful voice in Marathi film industry followed by Aditi Jaltare who played Little Ahilya. And now, the grown up Ahilyabai is played by Aetasha Sansgiri, whom we earlier saw in few Marathi serials for the past three years, including ‘Chhoti Malkin’ in title role and ‘Dakkhancha Raja Jyotiba’ in which she played the key role of Yamai.
Snehalata Vasaikar who was seen playing an important character of Soyarabai in historical Marathi serial ‘Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji’ is now playing the key role of Gautamabai, Mother in law of ‘Ahilyabai’ . You will also notice Sukhada Khandkekar in a prominent role of Dwarkabai. Sukhada has performed earlier on Marathi stage and few Marathi serials besides playing the role of Anubai in popular 2015 Hindi film ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
There are many more Marathi artistes playing important roles in this serial like Varada Patil as Sitabai, Sameer Deshpande as Mankoji Shinde, Sanika Gadgil as Harkubai, Bhagyashree Nahvale as Banabai, Sulakshana Joglekar as Susheelabai, Abhay Harpale as Gangoba and so on. And all of them have grabbed the attention of worldwide viewers with their superb performances. Thanks to Producers Nitin Vaidya and Ninad Vaidya and director Jackson Sethi for offering this wonderful creation . A must watch historical serial for all.

Muhurat of ‘Nibandh’ performed in FilmCity
‘Naal’ fame Shrinivas Pokale will be playing lead role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Nibandh’ which is written and directed by Sanjeev More. Muhurat of this film was performed recently at FilmCity , Goregaon in presence of all artistes and guests Meghraj Raje Bhosale and Anil V Kumar. Along with Shrinivas the film also stars Ajit Devle, Atharva Dewan, Arnav Nagpure, Sayali Dethe, Devendra Ghodke, Siddharth Badve, Prashant Kakkad, Abhay Deshmukh, Vatsala Polkamvar, Shekhar Dondre & K. Atmaram.
As suggested by the title of the film, this film is set on the backdrop of school and revolves around three best friends and a Retired Major who is founder of the school.The film is produced by Tejaswini Nagpure & Ashok B Khode and presented by Hemant Nagpure. Lyrics, Screenplay and dialogues by Rajesh Dhavle, music by Ashok Diwan and DOP Sujit Vishjwkarma and Shodhan Chavan are the other credits of this film. बिग बॉस मराठीमधे मीरा जगन्नाथ आणि सुरेखा कुडची समोरासमोर
बिग बॉस मराठीचे तीसरे पर्व सुरु झालेय , प्रत्येक पर्वासारखे ह्या पर्वात नविन काय बघायला मिळणार याची उत्सुकता प्रेक्षकांमधे आहे. पाहिल्याच दिवशी नॉमिनेशन टास्क पार पडला आणि सदस्यांनी त्यांच्या नजरेत कोण टिकाऊ आणि कोण टाकाऊ आहे हे सांगितले. बिग बॉस मराठीच्या घरामध्ये प्रत्येक सदस्याची दर दिवशी वेगवेगळी रूप बघायला मिळतात. कधी कधी जुन्या भेटीगाठी देखील समोर येतात. मीरा जगन्नाथ (Mira Jagannath)आणि सुरेखा कुडची (Surekha Kudachi) यांनी “नकळत सारे घडले” या मालिकेसाठी एकत्र काम केले होते आणि त्याचीच आठवण मीराला घरामध्ये त्यांना बघितल्यावर झाली. मीरा आज त्यांना हेच सांगताना दिसणार आहे.
सुरेखा कुडची यांना मीरा म्हणाली, “तिकडे आपलं काहीतरी झालं होतं”, सुरेखा कुडची म्हणाल्या काय झालं होतं माझ्यासाठी रात गई बात गई… त्यावर मीरा पुढे म्हणाली, “जेव्हा मी तुम्हाला घरात पहिलं तेव्हा माझं असं झालं, बापरे या इथे पण अश्याच वागणार की काय ? मी गायत्रीला देखील बोलले, यांच्या वाईब्स खूप भारी वाटत आहेत. मी जो विचार केला होता ना तुम्हाला बघून तश्या तुम्ही नाहीच आहात, किंवा मग बाहेर वेगळं आणि इथे वेगळे वागत आहोत आपण असंही झालं माझं”. त्यावर सुरेखा यांनी विचारले तिथे काय झालं होतं त्यावर मीरा म्हणाली, “तुम्ही माझी बॅग फेकली होती”. हे ऐकून त्यांना देखील धक्का बसला. यापुढे काय झालं ? ते बघा आजच्या भागामध्ये कलर्स मराठी वाहिनीवर।
‘Tamasha Live’ muhurat with the blessings of Lord Ganesha
Muhurat clap of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Tamasha Live’ took place recently followed by shooting with the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Perhaps director Sanjay Jadhav thought that it was the right time, as the Ganapati festival was going on and slowly things are returning to normal in Maharashtra. Through this film actor Sachit Patil has turned producer, besides playing lead role opposite Sonalee Kulkarni in this film. He is producing this film along with Akshay Bardapurkar, Abhayanand Singh, Piyush Singh and Nitin Prakash Vaidya.
‘Tamasha Live’ will be a musical film with 30 songs and will be released next year during Diwali. Music of this film is composed by Amitraj and Pankaj Padghan while lyrics are penned by Kshitij Patwardhan.Speaking about this film, director Sanjay jadhav said, “Sonalee being a good friend, working with her is a big advantage. Actually she is a talented actress and therefore there is no need to talk about her acting. Sachit Patil’s acting is also appreciated by all and this time he is also in the role of a producer. And therefore I am happy and excited about this film.”
Bigg Boss Marathi Season 3 from 19th Sept on Colors Marathi
Presented by Brooke Bond Red Label and co- sponsored by TRESemme , A 23 , Bigg Boss Marathi Season 3 is all set to begin from 19th September 2021 on Colors Marathi. The inaugural show will be presented at 7 pm and thereafter from Monday to Sunday at 9.30 pm. Like the previous two seasons, Mahesh Manjrekar will be the programme anchor of this show comprising of 15 participants who will be locked in the big house set for 100 days to entertain the viewers.
Speaking about this Season 3 Programming Head Colors Marathi ( Viacom 18) Mr. Viraj Raje said, “ For the past 18 months we have experienced a lot of stress due to Corona pandemic. And therefore, this time, we have selected 15 such participants who themselves need to be strong mentally, as they will be passing a timely message to the viewers about positive attitude, besides entertaining them. We have taken proper care to design this home set, so as to display our Marathi culture in every episode.”
In the meanwhile, there is a lot of curiosity to know the names of the new participants. Another highlight of this show is that the viewers will be able to see the participants for 24 hours on Voot app.
