कलर्स मराठीवरील जीव माझा गुंतला मालिकेमध्ये अंतरा आणि ‘हमसफर’चं नातं खूप खास आहे. शितोळे परिवाराला पैशांची कमतरता भासू नये, आई वडिलांना कुठलाही तरस होऊ नये म्हणून अंतरा रिक्षा पुन्हा एकदा चालविण्याचा निर्णय घेणार आहे. लग्न झाल्यावर आपल्या माहेरी हातभार लावावा, त्यांना कुठल्याही प्रकारचा त्रास होऊ नये असे प्रत्येक मुलीला वाटतं असते आणि तशीच इच्छा आपल्या अंतराची देखील आहे. पण आता तिचा हा निर्णय कुठलं नवं संकट तिच्या पुढे घेऊन येणार? खानविलकर कुटुंबाची साथ अंतराला मिळेल का ? ती कसा यातून कसा मार्ग काढणार ? चित्रा यामध्ये कुठली नवी खेळी खेळून जाणार ? हे बघणे उत्सुकतेचे असणार आहे.
अंतरा रिक्षा चालविण्याचा जेव्हा निर्णय घेते तेव्हा ती सुवासिनी यांना सांगण्याचा प्रयत्न देखील करते आणि ती तसं सांगते देखील. पण, तसं करून सुध्दा त्या दोघींमध्ये गैरसमज का होतो ? सुवासिनी आणि अंतरा मध्ये गैरसमज दिवसेंदिवस वाढत चालले आहेत. मल्हारने देखील अंतराला अजून बायको म्हणून स्वीकारले नाहीये. अंतरा कुठेतरी सगळं सांभाळून घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करते आहे. आणि त्या सगळ्यामध्ये आता हे नवं संकट तिच्यासमोर उभे ठाकणार आहे. अंतराच्या या निर्णयाचा मल्हार आणि अंतराच्या नात्यावर काय परिणाम होईल ? जाणून घेण्यासाठी बघत रहा जीव माझा गुंतला दररोज रात्री ८.३० वा. आपल्या लाडक्या कलर्स मराठीवर.
World Food day reminds us of Marathi film titles inspired by food items
World Food day is celebrated across the world perhaps introducing new food recipes for food lovers. But, that reminds us as to what our Marathi film makers have offered to the viewers, after being inspired by food items to name the titles of their films. It all began in 50s, when a film with the title ‘Shevgyachya Shenga’ directed by Shantaram Athavale was released starring Baby Nanda , Sumati Gupte and others. Besides winning the National award for best Marathi film, the film had also entered the Cannes Festival, raising the curiosity of World audience as to what relevance the nutritious Drumsticks had with this film’s story.
In 80s we saw Producer director V.K.Naik offering a film with the name ‘Khichadi’ perhaps trying to show the relevance of this recipe with the human life. Thereafter, for a long period, there were no titles of Marathi films related to any food items. But, since 2009 we have seen many films using the titles derived from food items. ‘Ek Cup Chya’ released by producer Yeshwant Oak and directed by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukhtankar, had used a cup of tea normally a symbol of hospitality, as a metaphor for a bribe. The film was based on the RTI act.
Then we saw the film ‘Masala’ (Movie review) produced by Girish Kulkarni and directed by Sandesh Kulkarni, when we saw how a couple running away from moneylenders, from one place to other, after failing in different attempted business meet the right people to add that required flavour required in their life. There were many other films which we saw later, with the names ‘Murambba’, ‘Gulabjaam’ ‘Restaurant’, ‘Coffee Ani Barach Kahi, ‘Khari Biscuit’ ‘Jai Maharashtra Dhaba Bhatinda’, ‘Haapus’ and others which were able to deliver what the respective film makers had in their mind behind using these titles.
‘Kaasav’ shows the way to overcome depression with a purpose in life

Renowned director duo Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukhtankar made 17 Marathi films together and won various national and international accolades for their previous films like ‘Doghi’,‘Dahavi Fa’ , ‘Vastupurush’,‘Devrai’, ‘Samhita’ and ‘Astu’ (movie review). Two of these films were based on mental illness such as Schizophrenia and Alzimer’s disease. And they presented these two subjects very skilfully handling the subject with the support of Dr. Mohan Agashe himself a Psychiatrist, who was part of both these films.
In ‘Kaasav’ (कासव) we saw Dr. Mohan Agashe contributing in the form of a producer along with the film maker duo Bhave and Sukhtankar. This film has won the National award for the best feature film at the 64th National Film awards. Unfortunately, this film could not be released in a big way in theatres like other Marathi films, but was released recently on Sony Liv OTT platform, which has made it possible to reach out to the Marathi film lovers scattered all over the world.
‘Kaasav’ truly stands to the appreciation it received during the Golden Lotus National award for best feature film. The film’s story is presented in a beautiful cinematic way, to show the relevance of the issues of depression suffered by the youngster (Alok Rajwade) in the film, in relation to the life and nesting cycle of Olive Ridley Sea Turtles, being researched by Janaki (Iravati Harshe) a middle aged divorcee, who herself consults a psychologist for her panic attacks.
Shot at the beautiful beach location of Devgad in Sindhudurg district, the film captures some realistic moments to show, how this middle aged woman tries to treat the depressed youngster, by understanding his problems with the help of a local doctor. There are few other important characters in the form Yadu( Kishore Kadam) driver cum cook of Janaki, Dattabhau (Mohan Agashe) a local, who is working on an olive ridley sea turtles conservation project, Devika Daftardar ( short appearance) playing the step mother of the depressed youngster and others with their perfect Malvani accent, who provide very good support.
Beautiful cinematography by Dhananjay Kulkarni captures the beauty of Devgad beach, while Saket Kanetkar’s music provides good support to this artistic film with a timely message of showing the purpose of living life to a depressed youngster. Perfect editing by Mohit Takalkar has made this 104 minutes length film look very interesting. But, the overall credit goes to the director duo Sumitra Bhave – Sunil Sukhtankar for handling this difficult subject brilliantly with the help of Dr. Mohan Agashe, who has contributed his bit as an actor, but more as a producer. Certainly a worth watch film for all.

(Adish Vaidya) आदिश वैद्यच्या अचानक घरामध्ये झालेल्या वाइल्ड कार्ड एंट्रीमुळे आता घरातील रहिवाशी संघाची काय प्रतिक्रिया असेल ? घरामध्ये कोणते रंजक वळण येईल ? घरातील नाती त्याच्या एंट्रीमुळे बदलणार का ? कोणत्या गृपचा आदिश सदस्य होणार ? कि तो त्याचा गृप तयार करणार ? कि स्वत:चा खेळ स्वतंत्रपणे खेळणार ? हे बघणे रंजक असणार आहे.
आदिशने घरातील सदस्यांबद्दल बोलताना म्हणाला, “बिग बॉस मराठीच्या घरामध्ये प्रत्येकजण आपल्या पध्दतीने खेळायचा प्रयत्न करतो आहे. माझा आवडता सदस्य विकास पाटील आहे. काही बाबतीत मी त्याला रिलेट करू शकतो. जय, विशाल (टास्कच्या बाबतीत) आणि मीनल हे तीन सदस्य स्ट्रॉंग प्रतिस्पर्धी आहेत असं मला वाटत. वाईल्ड कार्ड एंट्रीद्वारे घरामध्ये गेलेले स्पर्धक कधी जिंकले नाही पण मी घरामध्ये लवकर जात आहे तर ही चांगली गोष्ट आहे.”
New Web Series ‘Tuzi Mazi Yari’ is about unselfish friendship
Friendship is one such relationship which is chosen by us. It is difficult to find a person in this world, without a single friend. And therefore a subject based on friendship is always a treat to Marathi film lovers. A new web series (तुझी माझी यारी Tujhi Mazi Yari) on this subject has been released on 7th October 2021 on Planet Marathi OTT platform which is written by Sumedh Kirloskar and is directed by Tushar Ghadigaonkar.
Produced by Sainath Rajadhyaksha this four part web series will present different colours of unselfish friendship presented by two artistes namely Big Boss Season 3 fame Meera Jagannath and actress Snehal Salunke. This web series had generated a lot of curiosity ever since the poster of this series was released and with the release of its trailer few days back, it is expected to receive a very good response.
‘Well Done Boys’ selected for REELS Int Film Fest
‘Well Done Boys’ directed by Prakash Jadhav has been selected for the ‘REELS International Film Festival to be organised by Film Foundation and Welfare Foundation, Aurangabad. This is the second year of this film festival and the selection of film has been made from 434 films. The story of this film revolves around the school students, who according to the makers are the future of our country. In this film, they have focussed their attention on the Teacher – student relationship and have tried to suggest how the life of mischievous students can be made bright with proper attention on them.
Incidentally, director Prakash Jadhav is known for handling the subjects on students and their life. The story of ‘Well Done Boys’ is written by Ashok Bafna and Kishore Thakur, whuile the dialogues are written by Ashok Mankar and Mahendra Patil. Lyrics are penned by Ashish Ningurkar and Ashok Mankar with music composed by Shriran Aras and S.P. Sen. Cinematography is by Triloki Choudary, Hitesh Belder and Prakash Karlekar with editing by Prakash Atmaram Jadhav. The film stars Mohan Joshi, Vijay Patkar, Shilpa Prabhulkar, Priy Ranjan, Vinod Jolly, Mahendra Patil, Ashish Ningurkar along with a team of child artistes. The film will be released soon.
Marathi film ‘Foreign Returned and Well Settled’ launched with song recording
With the situation in Maharashtra returning to normalcy soon, the activity of film makers announcing launch of their new films or announcing release dates of their films is in full swing. Recently, the muhurat of the new Marathi film “Foreign Returned And Well Settled” was held with a song recording at Pancham Studio, Andheri, in the presence of well known producers, directors, lyricists, playback singers and music directors.
Producer Parag Bhavsar is making the film besides writing and directing it. The song was recorded on this occasion sung by Vaishali Made on the lyrics of Shrikrishna Raut and music of Dinesh Arjuna. According to Mr. Parag Bhavsar his film is all set to drive home a strong message to the society at large via a love story with the title of the film indicating that the film is all set to unearth a different path and unfold a shattering truth. Through “Foreign Returned And Well Settled”, an attempt has also been made to create worthwhile and out of the box content for the cinema lovers by the entire team.
Sanjay Navgire has penned the screenplay as well as the dialogues for the film, while renowned DOP Mahesh Aaney will crank the camera . Rahul Bhatankar is the editor for the film, choreography is handled by Pran Hambarde. The work on the casting for the film is currently in full swing and as soon as the casting is finalised, the shooting of the film will commence.
आनंदी जोशी हिचा सुमधूर आवाजात ‘श्री सुक्तम’
भक्तांचा यंदाचा नवरात्रोत्सव होणार आहे अधिकच चैतन्यमय दुर्गा देवी व नवरात्रोत्सव स्त्री शक्तीचा एक जागरच मानला जातो. देवीची आराधना करण्यासाठी मंत्रांचे उच्चारण केले असता पावित्र्याची आणि मांगल्याची अनुभूती होते. मंत्रोच्चाराने मन प्रसन्न होते. ‘सुमन एन्टरटेन्मेंट आणि मिडिया प्रा. लि’, प्रस्तुत ‘श्री सुक्तम’ हा मंगलमय मंत्र व्हीडीयो रूपात भक्तांच्या भेटीला आला आहे. विविध मालिकांमधून घराघरात पोहोचलेली अभिनेत्री उमा पेंढारकर ‘श्री सुक्तम’ हा मंत्र म्हणत देवीची उपासना करताना दिसत आहे.
भारतीय पुराणात मंत्र परंपरा हजारो वर्षांपूर्वीची आहे. ‘श्री सुक्तम’ या मंत्राला चिनार-महेश यांनी संगीत दिले असून आनंदी जोशी हिचा सुमधूर आवाज लाभला आहे. मंत्रांचे उच्चारण केल्याने तयार होणाऱ्या ध्वनी लहरींमुळे आजूबाजूला सकारात्मक ऊर्जा निर्माण होते. लवकरच सगळीकडे देवीचे आगमन होणार असून तिच्या आगमनाने चैतन्यमय झालेले वातावरण ‘श्री सुक्तम’ च्या मंत्रोच्चाराने अधिकच उत्साहवर्धक होणार आहे.
Suspense Filled ‘Alipt’ is ready for release
Produced by Aniket Vinayak Karanjkar and co produced by Sanjay Laxmanrao Yadav the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Alipt’ is now ready for release. This suspense filled film is directed by Manoj Sudhakar Yerunkar. Highlight of this film is that actor Swapnil Prakash Jadhav whom we earlier saw in lead role in the film ‘Aik’, has himself written the story , screenplay and dialogues of this film, but is also playing the lead role opposite Tanvi Hegade.
Besides Swapnil and Tanvi the other artistes of this film are, Sharyu Sonawane, Bhushana Ghadi, Sunil Dev, and Sushant Shelar in the main roles. Aniket Karanjkar is the DOP while Choreography is by Dilip Mestry. Art direction by Mahendra Shiv Mangal and Appa Raut , Editing by Harshad Vaithi , sound by Appa Tarkar and Makeup is by Abhay Mohite and Pratibha are the other credits.
According to the makers, of ‘Alipt’, the plot of this film will keep the viewer thoroughly engrossed in the film and also entertain them out and out. “Today the audiences do not want just humor filled entertainment but something different and novel and suspense films also have a different set of loyal viewers,” says director Manoj Yerunkar.
‘Jayanti’ to release on 26th November
With the relaxation in lockdown and the decision of opening of cinema halls soon, there are announcements being made about the release of their films by the film producers. Presenters Dashami Studios and producers Meliorist Films have announced the release of their Marathi film ‘Jayanti’ on social media, as 26th November 2021. This film is written and directed by Shailesh Narwade.
Mangesh Dhakade has set the songs to tune and has also created background score for this film. Eminent and revered singer from Indian Music arena, Javed Ali has rendered two of the songs from this film. Out of these one has been penned by none other than Guru Thakur. Rohan Patil who has to his credit National award winning film ‘Khwada’ has edited this film, while Santosh Gilbile who has done make up for National award winning films like ‘Shala’ and ‘Killa’ has done the make up in this film. Speaking about his film Producer director Shailesh Narwade says, “After such a long wait, I am naturally anxious to see my film being released. However, more than that, I am confident that the film “Jayanti” will induce everyone to look at life with a different perspective.”
