‘Hampi’ fame Prakash Kunte launches his new Marathi film
Known for his new locations and new subjects, director Prakash Kunte came into limelight with his film ‘Hampi’. Now, he has launched his new Marathi untitled film in Thane, which is produced by Dr. Smita Nalawade and Mangesh Nalawade under the banners of Manasmita Productions and Swaroop Studios.
Story of this film s written by Nitish Budhkar, while screenplay and dialogues are written by Nitin Budhkar, Aditya Prakash Bhagat and Vibhav Rajadhyaksha. Vivhiyan Gaikwad will be the cinematographer of this film, while music will be provided by Rohit Raut. Artistes of this film will be declared soon. So, there are big expectations from this film.
Savaniee Ravindrra launches her own label with ‘Mujara Shivbala’
Popular singer and National award winner Savaniee Ravindrra has launched her own label with Savani Records, with the release of first song ‘Mujara Shivbala’ which is a tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This announcement was made by Savani during the launch event in presence of chief guest legendary singer Padmashri Sureh Wadkar. Many prominent personalities from music world, like Mr. Avadhoot Gupte, Abhjit Sawant, Kaushal Inamdar, Avinash Vishwajeet, Nandesh Umap, Rishikesh Kamerkar, Mangesh Boregaonkar, Nihar Shembekar and Lavani Queen Medha Ghadge were present on this occasion.

Forthcoming Marathi film directed by Vaibhav Chinchalkar on the entertaining evergreen relationship between Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and starring Nirmitee Sawant and Pooja Sawant, will be released on 5th June 2026 all over Maharashtra. Vikram Gokhale’s last film ‘Bewaras’ to Release Soon
The last film of legendary actor Vikram Gokhale, titled ‘Bewaras’, will soon be released for audiences. The film’s poster was officially launched on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa. Produced by Harini Productions and presented by Shiv Aryan Films, the movie is directed by Vijay Rane. The story is emotional and touching. Along with Vikram Gokhale, the film features actors like Tejaswini Pandit, Rohini Hattangadi, and Usha Naik in important roles.
In the film, Vikram Gokhale plays Abaji, a principled man who runs an orphanage. The story follows a young boy who takes his own parents to court to fight for his rights, highlighting emotional and social issues.
The poster shows a heartfelt moment of Vikram Gokhale hugging a child, giving a glimpse of the film’s emotional depth. As this is his final film, there is strong curiosity among fans.

Nirmitee Sawant seeks help from Makarand Anaspure to improvise her new character in ‘Super Duperr’
Known for her variety of roles presented through many films in the past, Nirmitee Sawant is now playing a character of a woman from a village in her forthcoming film ‘Super Duperr’. To give her best through that character, Nirmitee with the permission of her director Sameer Asha Patil, approached versatile actor Makarand Anaspure , to understand the perfect pronunciation of the village based language. And, this has helped her a lot.
Nirmitee herself has admitted this, before the release of this film. Speaking about her character in this film, she said, “I am playing this character of a woman from a village, whose lifestyle is well suited to that place. So, I wanted to be perfect with my diction, while speaking this language and therefore took help from Makarand Anaspure, whose roots are from a village.”
This entertaining film which is presented by Zee Studios and produced by Ninety Nine Productions and Siddhivinayak Productions will be released on 3rd April 2026.
New Poster of ‘Tumbadchi Manjula’ raises curiosity
The new poster of Zee Studio’’ next film ‘Tumbadchi Manjula’ has raised a lot of curiosity among film lovers on social media. Shinde father and daughter announce their next film ‘Aai Bhadyane Havi?’

Father and daughter combination of Director Kedar Shinde and Producer Sana Shinde have announced their next Marathi film ‘Aai Bhadyane Havi?’. Made under the banner of Sunflower Studios, the story and script of this film is written by Vaishali Shashi Naik and Omkar Vasundhara Dutt and the cinematography and editing work will be managed by Mayur Sanjeevani Hardas.
According to Kedar Shinde, “It is very challenging to handle the subject of women oriented films. So, I always felt that unless I find a perfect script, I will not announce my film. Actually, work on the script of this film began in 2023 along with my other film. This film is on the style of renowned film maker Rajkumar Hirani , from who I have received a lot of inspiration. “
The shooting of this film will begin sometime in June-July 2026 and it will be an entertaining multi-starrer film. At present the process of selection of artistes is in progress.
Muhurat performed for Viju Mane’s film ‘Mamachya Gavala Jauya’
After his ‘Struggler Salaa’ series, Viju Mane now gets ready with his favourite subject for youngsters , in the form of new Marathi film ‘Mamachya Gavala Jauya’. The title of the film clearly suggests freedom of fun filled trip on the backdrop of Goa, enjoyed together by friends. This will be released during the week coinciding with friendship day this year.
According to Writer- director Viju Mane, he was overwhelmed by the appreciation received for his series ‘Struggler Salaa’ and hence decided to choose a nostalgic experience on friendship , which revolves around planning of Goa trip by a group friends. He is confident that the audience will treat this film close to them. However, the most important details like starcast of the film, has been kept in abeyance.
Siddharth Jadhav to play double role in Marathi play ‘Animal’

Popular Actor Siddharth Jadhav is returning to Marathi stage after 8 years. And this time, he will be appearing in successive shows of the new play ‘Animal‘ in which he will be playing the double role. These shows will be performed in theatres at places like Thane, Borivali, Vashi, Dadar, Parle and Mulund.
Written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, at present the rehearsals of this play are in full swing. Very soon the first show of this play will begin from Thane. The story of this play revolves around a youngster Dattu who comes to Mumbai from a village to fulfil his dream of becoming an actor. For Siddharth Jadhav, this will be the most challenging role in this one act play. Writer- director Mahesh Manjrekar has himself composed the music of this play.
