Teaser of Comedy film ‘Bhirkit’ released
Few days ago poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bhirkit (भिरकीट)’ had raised a lot of curiosity among the film lovers. Presented by Classic Enterprises and produced by Suresh Jamatlal Oswal and Bhagyavanti Suresh Oswal and directed by Anup Jagdale, now the teaser of this film has been released.
This so called comedy film stars versatile artistes like Girish Kulkarni, Hrishikesh Joshi, Monalisa Bagal, Kushal Badrike, Sagar Karande, Tanaji Galgunde, Kailas Waghmare, Usha Naik and Yakub Sayed.
Screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Pratap Gangavane and music is composed by Shail and Pritesh. According to the director Anup Jagdale, “This film presents the story about all of us. How much of humanity is left in human beings today in this materialistic world and how much we have changed today, is what the film’s story is all about. This is a multi starrer film and therefore all the versatile artistes have been selected for their respective roles. National award winning actor Girish Kulkarni plays the lead role of ‘Tatya’ in this film.” This film will be released all over Maharashtra on 17th June 2022.
Trailer of Kabaddi based film ‘Vijayi Bhav’ released
Trailer of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Vijayi Bhav (विजयी भव! )’ which is based on the game of Kabaddi, was released recently. Produced by Swastik Motion Pictures Productions and presented by Kenil Entertainment, this film is directed by Shailesh Patel and Atul Sonar.The film stars Indian Idol fame Jagdish Chavan and Pooja Jaiswal in the lead roles, along with Sonali Dalvi, Vinayak Ketkar, Jagdish Pawar, Vikram Mehta and others.
The story of ‘Vijayi Bhav’ which will unfold various mediums like sports, love stories, politics, relationships and friendship, is written by Jagdish Pawar and scripted by Atul Sonar. Mukund Mahale has written dialogues along with Atul Sonar. Cinematography is by Lalji Beldar while choreography is done by Vikrant Dev, Nody Rasal, Ram Devan, Deepak Turi. The compilation has been done by Dharmesh Chanchadia, while the background music has been provided by Swapnil Nangi. The lyrics written by Virendra Ratne have been composed by Kabir Shakya in the melodious voices of Jagdish Chavan, Kavita Ram, Manjima Goswami, Vaishali Made, Noora Singh Aade, Swapnali Chauhan.
This film will be released across Maharashtra on May 20th 2022.
Hrishikesh and Priyadarshan come together for ‘Chhupe Rustam’
Both Hrishikesh Joshi and Priyadarshan Jadhav have established themselves as writer, director and actors in Marathi entertainment industry. Now, these two stalwarts will be coming together for a Marathi stage play ‘Chhupe Rustam (छुपे रुस्तम)’ on 15th May, when the inaugural show of this play will be presented at Dinanath Mangeshkar Natygruh at 4.15 pm followed by another show at Shivaji Mandir, Dadar on 16th May at 3.30 pm.
Produced by Priya Patil and Anita Mahajan under the banner of Pravesh and Disha this play is directed by Vijay Kenkre. This play is written by Tejas Ranade. Production design is by Sandesh Bendre, Music is by Ajit Parab and Light effects by Shital Talpade. Earlier, the producers had presented popular plays like ‘Galti Se Mistake’ and ‘Don’t Worry Ho Jayega’. Speaking about their roles in this play, both Hrishikesh and Priyadarshan have said that they consider it privilege while working with reputed director like Vijay Kenkre .
‘Shyamchi Aai’ second schedule begins in Panhala.
We are all aware that of Sane Guruji’s book on Mother and subsequently a Marathi film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ directed by P.K Atre in 1953, which was based on this book. Now, director Sujay Dahake who is making his latest Marathi film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ on this subject that too in Black n White has started the second schedule of his film at Panhala Former M.P. Mr. Dhananjay Mahadik gave the clap for this second schedule.
‘Shyamchi Aai’ is being produced by Amruta Arun Rao under the banner of Amruta Films. After shooting at many scenic places in Konkan, the important part of the film is now being shot in Panhala. In today’s colorful era, this film is going to take the audience back to the old days, as it will be in black and white. Highlight of this film is that , Sujay will try to give disclosure to the loving relationship between Shyam and his mother, with 60-70 actors from Panhala-Kolhapur, along with the actors from Konkan
Trailer of ‘Dharmaveer’ unveiled by CM Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai
Trailer of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dharmaveer Mu. Po. Thane ( धर्मवीर मुक्काम पोस्ट ठाणे)‘ was unveiled in Mumbai in presence of Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Uddhav Thackeray as chief guest , artistes of the film and other dignitaries including actor Salman Khan as special guest of honour. Lead actor of the film Prasad Oak who is playing the title role, appeared on the dais in the get up of Anand Dighe, on whose life this film has been made.
Speaking on this occasion Prasad Oak said, “I consider myself fortunate to play the character of a person who worked tirelessly for the people. The compliments I have received from people so far is encouraging. I have done my best to portray his character.” Mr. Uddhav Thackeray recalled his personal association with Anand Dighe during a tour. “I have seen his working style, forgetting food and water for 24 hours at a stretch. He died at the age of 50 years, but he lived a full life. So much he was involved with his work,” said the chief minister.

‘Tamasha Live’ team salutes Film industry with a song
Some days ago poster of Marathi film ‘Tamasha Live (तमाशा लाइव्ह )’ was unveiled. On this poster Sonalee Kulkarni‘s different look had invited the attention of film lovers and have also raised their expectations from this film.
Now, a song ‘Chitrapatachi Nandi’ from this film has been released on the occasion of birth anniversary of legend of Film industry Dadasaheb Phalke at N.D. Studios, Karjat. The song was presented on a specially erected 100 feet long dais, after saluting statue of Lord Nataraj. Present on this occasion were entire team of the film along with Sanjay Jadhav, Sonalee Kulkarni,Siddharth Jadhav, Sachit Patil, Hemangi Kavi, Nagesh Bhosale, Mrunal Deshpande, Aayushi Bhave, Manmeet Pem, Amitraj, Pankaj Padghan and Kshitij Patwardhan.
This song has been composed by music director Pankaj Padghan and highlight of this song is that renowned classical singers like Shaunak Abhisheki, Anand Bhate, Rahul Deshpande and Anuradha Kuber have rendered their voices and this will be a big treat for music lovers. ‘Tamasha Live’ which has been presented by Planet Marathi and Mauli Productions is produced by Akshay bardapurkar and directed by Sanjay Jadhav. The film will be released all over Maharashtra on 24th June 2022.
‘Kathputli Colony’ will tell the story of every human being
Every film tells the story of someone from our society. Marathi films have always been in the forefront to tell such stories. Recently, a new Marathi film ‘Kathputli Colony (कठपुतली कॉलनी )’ has been announced which is issue based , which every Indian can easily relate, according to the Producer of this film Shamrao Krushnai Pandurang Sasane The film will be directed by Dayasagar Wankhede who had earlier directed the film ‘Copy’.
The story of the film has been penned by Milind Shinde , besides playing a very vital role in this issue based film along with the poet Kishore Kadam. ‘Kathputli Colony’ tells the story of a village, homes and our neighbors etc. besides focusing on discipline. Throwing some light on the subject of his film, director Daya Saagar Wankhede says , “Milind has written such a beautiful story that the moment I watched it, I felt like I should immediately make a film based on it. The audience will be able to watch a realistic film which sets out to tackle aesthetically a major issue.” Dayasagar also emphasized that each and every cinegoer will identify himself or herself with the issue highlighted in ‘Kathputli Colony’ .

Trailer of Marathi film ‘I am Sorry’ launched
English titles for Marathi films have set a new trend. ‘I am Sorry’ will be the title of this new Marathi film, which will be released across Maharashtra on May 13. Produced by Abdul Majeed Chikte and is written and directed by Deepak Bhagwat, who had earlier directed a film ‘3:56 Killari’. Director Deepak Bhagwat has expressed his opinion that since the plot of this film is in tune with his daily life, every viewer will like it.
‘I Am Sorry’ will present a new pair comprising of Riyaz Mulani and Mayuri Kapadane and they will be seen in the lead roles. Mayuri has previously appeared on Sun TV’s ‘Jau Nako Door Baba’ as well as in the Hindi serial ‘Teri Ladli Main’. Riaz is currently working on Zee Marathi’s ‘Man Jhale Bajind’ serial. Apart from the lead pair the film also stars Anurag Sharma, Neha Tiwari, Rajan Tamhane, Sameera Gujar, Kaustubh Padhye, Shrikant Kamat, Rajesh Latkar, Bhagre Guruji, Asmita Khatkhate, Swati Pansare, Sushma Sinalkar, child artist, Omkar Jadhav, Sanvi Chavan .
DOP Om Narayan is the cinematographer and Chaitrali Dongre is the costume designer, casting director, and production in charge, while Musician Sam A.R. has composed the songs. Chief Sound Designer is Prashant Kamble while Santosh Phutane is the Art Director. Background music is done by Gabriel Salomoni and DI by Raja Rajan.
