Pritam Kagne unveils the poster of her home production ‘Befaam’

Actress Pritam Kagne who shot into fame with her fine performance in the film ‘Halaal’ read review has unveiled the poster of her forthcoming home production ‘Befaam’ recently on social media. The cryptic poster has raised a lot of curiosity about the film’s subject. Presented by her along with her father, this film is produced by Amol Kagne who had earlier produced Marathi films like ‘Halal’, ‘Lathe Joshi’ (movie review), ‘Perfume’ (movie review) and very latest ‘Vajvuya Band Bajaa’. The film is directed by debutant Krishna Kamble, who had earlier worked as assistant director film ‘Mahaguru’.
To be distributed by Pickel Entertainment, music of this film will be provided by Amitraj Raj, while background music will be provided by Aditya Bedekar. Editing by Rajesh Rao, cinematography by Prasad Bhende, choreography by Umesh Jadhav are the other credits of this film. Mithilesh Singh Rajput is the executive and creative producer of this film.
Marathi short film ‘Khisa’ finds entry in International Film Festival
Marathi short film ‘Khisa’ which has already invited attention at different national and international film festivals, has now been selected for screening at the 51st International Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held in Goa between 16th – 24th January 2021. Produced by P. P. Cine Productions and Laltippa this film is directed by Raj Pritam More and is written by Kailas Waghmare. The entire shooting of this film was held in Akola in Vidarbha.

‘Khisa’ has already bagged Best film and Best Screenplay awards at the Istambul Film awards 2020 and also bagged the best screenplay award at the prestigious 10th Dadasaheb PhalkeFilm Festival. The film has also been selected for screening at the 2021 IFA annual live screening for the Golden Star award. There are many such festivals where the film was selected. According to the director, this film talks about social atmosphere in the country and the narrow minds of the people living in villages.
It is an emotion filled film which stars Kailash Waghmare, Meenakshi Rathod, Shruti Madhideep, Dr. Sheshpal Ganvir, and Vedant kshirsagar. Music by Parijat Chakravarty, editing by Santosh Maithani and cinematography by Simarjit Singh Suman are the other credits.
Lalit Prabhakar’s new film ‘Tarri’ Motion poster launched

The dashing star of Marathi films, Lalit Prabhakar is now getting ready with his new film ‘Tarri’ in which he plays a dashing young hero. Recently, the motion poster of this film was launched by makers of this film producers Pratik Chavan, Akshay Adhalrao Patil and Vikram Dhaktode and director Mahesh Raosaheb Kale. They have planned to release this film next year. The motion poster of this film clearly suggests the theme of this film which revolves around the dynamic youngsters of today.

‘Prawaas’ selected at IFFI in Indian Panorama Feature Film 2020

Shashank Udapurkar‘s Marathi film ‘Prawaas’ [read review] starring Ashok Saraf, Padmini Kolhapure and himself, in the lead roles; which was released early this year, has been selected for 51st The International Film Festival of India ( IFFI) in the Indian Panorama Feature Film 2020 section. The other two Marathi films selected by the Jury in this section comprising of 23 films are, ‘Karkhanisanchi Wari’ directed by Mangesh Joshi and ‘June’ directed by Vaibhav Khisti and Surhud Godbole.
It may be recalled that ‘Prawaas’ was lucky to reach out to the people through cinema halls, as it was released little before the closure of theatres due to spread of corona pandemic. And the film was highly appreciated by the critics and film lovers, for its sensible subject and fine performances by the lead artistes. Reacting to this news, writer- director of this film Shashank Udapurkar has expressed his happiness and has called it a big honour. Producer Om Changani feels that this film will make its presence felt even at this prestigious film festival.
Muhurat of ‘8 Don 75′ held in Pune

Producers Vikas Hande, Lokesh Mangde, Sudhir Kolte performed the muhurat of their Marathi film ‘8 Don 75′ with a tagline ‘Fakta Icchashakti Havi’ in Pune recently. The muhurat clap was given by MNS Chief Raj Thackeray , when lead pair Shubhankar Tawde and Sanskruti Balgude faced the camera while sitting on a motor cycle.
The film is directed by Sushrut Bhagwat who had earlier directed films like ‘Mumbai Time’, ‘A Paying Ghost’ and ‘Asehi Ekada Vhave’. Sushrut himself has written the screenplay of this film along with Sharvani Pillai while dialogues are written by Sanjay Mone. Besides Shubhankar and Sankruti, the big star cast of the film comprise of Sharvani Pillai, Sanjay Mone, Anand Ingale, Radhika Harshe Vidyasagar, Ashwini Kulkarni, Vijay Patwardhan, Chinmay Sant and Dr. Nikhil Rajeshirke. Pushkar Shrotri will make a guest appearance in this film. Lyrics by Vaibhav Joshi and music by Avadhoot Gupte are the other credits of this film.
The shooting of this film will be held in Pune and surrounding areas in next few days. The producers of this film had earlier produced a film Kagar’ .

Marathi actor Adhish Paigude makes it big Hindi

Marathi actor Adhish Paigude who made his beginning as a stage actor shot into prominence with his character of Patankar through popular TV serial ‘Ratris Khel Chale’. But now, he has made it big in Hindi. Adhish has found a prominent role in forthcoming Hindi film ‘Nail Polish’ which will be released on Friday 1st January 2021 on Zee 5 OTT platform.
Speaking about his role Adhish says that this film is vocal about different shades of law and for me this was a unique experience of learning new things. In this film Adhish shares the screen with well known Bollywood artistes like Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul, Anand Tiwari & Rajit Kapoor. So, the new year will be offering him a new platform to get noticed among the new audience.
It may be recalled that since his college days Adhish was attracted to Marathi stage with his participation at the Purshottam and Firodia Cup competitions. The film will present the talented trio comprising of Bhushan Patil, Sayali Sanjeev and newcomer Ria Nalawade . The film is produced by Vinod Malgewar and directed by Sheetal Shetty.
