Sayali, Suvrat speak about their roles in ‘Goshta eka Paithanichi’
Much awaited Marathi film ‘Goshta eka Paithanichi’ is all set to release this Friday and therefore there is a lot of curiosity to know what the film is all about ? Lead artistes of this film Sayali Sanjeev and Suvrat Joshi have tried to explain about their characters in this film and how they prepared for these roles.
Sayali who plays a woman stiching blouses and making fall bidding for the sarees says that she always wants to study her characters and prepare for the same before the shooting. And therefore when she was offered this role, she actually joined a stichting class to understand the techniques of stitching so that she could portray her character naturally.
Suvrat who plays a flower vendor in this film, says that he prepared himself by standing next to flower vendors on the street and observed their body language closely. These characters though look simple, are very challenging to portray and that is why both these lead artistes studied them in their own ways. Produced by Akshay Vilas Bardapurkar, Piyush Singh, Golden Resho Films and Planet Marathi and directed by Shantanu Ganesh Rode, this film also stars renowned artistes like Mrunal Kulkarni, Suhita Thatte, Milind Gunaji, Madhura Velankar, Girija Oak, Aditi Dravid in lead roles.
Neha Pendse to dedicate her new film to Late Vikram Gokhale
Recently, On her birthday popular actress Neha Pendse was to surprise her fans with the announcement of her new Marathi film with the release of its poster. However, due to sad demise of renowned actor Vikram Gokhale the announcement has been postponed. Incidentally, Vikram Gokhale was also part of this film and therefore Neha has decided to dedicate this film to him.
This new film is produced by Shardul Singh Bayas, Neha Pendse and Nikhil Mahajan and is directed by Rohit Mittal. Story is written by Shripad Deshpande and Rohit Mittal and very soon the name of the film will be disclosed. Speaking on the occasion of her birthday, Neha made this statement while thanking her friends and well wishers for their good wishes. She regretted her inability to make announcement of her film’s name on this day, as she felt that it was not a good time, due to sad demise of Vikram Gokhale, which was a big loss to the film industry.
Co producer Nikhil Mahajan also supported this decision and was all praise for Neha Pendse and her work, having worked with her in the film ‘June’. She is a passionate actress anda finest producer. He said that even with Vikram Sir, he worked in ‘Gadavari’ and even in this film, which was to be announced. And therefore, they were dedicating this film to him.
Vijay Kenkre to celebrate Cenutry of his plays with ‘Kali Rani’
Renowned dramatist and director Vijay Kenkre is all set to celebrate the Century of his plays with his new Marathi play ‘Kali Rani‘ on 11th December 2022. Interestingly, with this inaugural show of ‘Kali Rani’ Vijay Kenkre’s other associates in this play will also be creating new records. This will be writer Ratnakar Matkari’s 90th play, Production designer Pradeep Mule’s 200th play, Music director Ajit Parab’s 40th play, Costume designer Mangal Kenkre’s 50th play, Light effect specialist Sheetal Talpade’s 125th play Akshar Shedge’s 1400th play and Dr. Girish Oak’s 50th play. Above all, Dr. Girish Oak will be appearing in his 6,666 th stage performance through this inaugural show.
Produced by Priya Patil, Dr. Madhuri Sarnaik, Anita Mahajan,Rutuja Shidam and directed by Vijay Kenkre this play revolves around three important characters in film industry- an actress who wants to rule over this industry, a writer whose every film has become a silver Jubilee hit and a showman producer who has given scope to this actress and director in this industry. Dr. Girish Oak, Harish Dudhade and Manva Naik play the lead roles along with Chandralekha Joshi and Anand Patil. We are all aware that Vijay Kenkre who has so far offered variety of subjects through his successful plays, is also expected to give his best direction in this play too
First Poster of ‘Saath Sobat’ unveiled
In the fraternity of films, some films become successful in maintaining their own distinct identity. More’s films have made their mark in various film festivals in the country and abroad and have won many awards. His film ‘Champions’ won two National Awards for Best Social Film and Best Child Actor.
The story of campanions who stay together in the evening of life, will be seen in this film. This movie gives a new vision of life. It has a love story as well as a strong message. It also has all the spice required for entertainment, with lyrics that blend in with the flow of the story and a melodious musical edge attached to them, so that the audience can experience a film with commercial value in the form of ‘Saath Sobat’ and also conveys its message in a very simple way.
There are actors such as Raj Dutt, Mohan Joshi, Anil Gavas, Sangram Samel, Amol Redij, and Dilip Asurdekar in this film. Mrunal Kulkarni, a new face doing her debut in this film. DOP Harshal Kantak has done the cinematography of this movie. Lyrics are written by Yashshree More and Music has been composed by Mahesh Naik in this film. ‘Mana Baharala….’ Song from the film ‘Raundal’ released
Known for his dashing role of Baban in the national award winning Marathi film ‘Khwada’ the lead actor of this film Bhausaheb Shinde was busy all these days with his exercise regime to play a rough-and-tough character from the red soil of Maharashtra. This tough character he plays in the film ‘Raundal’. His rough and tough looks can be seen in the song from this film ‘Mana Baharala….’ released recently on social media. Debutant actress Neha Sonavane can also bee seen along with him in this song, with her mischievous looks. This first song of the film will be released in Marathi and Hindi.
Made under the banner of Bhumika Films and Entertainment, Balasaheb Shinde, Dr. Purushottam Bhapkar, Pramod Chaudhary and Bhau Shinde have produced ‘Raundal’, which is directed by Gajanan Nana Padol . This romantic song picturized on Bhausaheb and Neha is written by lyricist Dr. Vinayak Pawar. Singer Vaishali Made’s melodious voice has been composed by music composer Harshit Abhiraj. Highlight of this song is the meaningful lyrics which suit the realistic locations of the village and the events of the plot.
‘Athang’ trailer launched in a grand way
Now days trailers of the Marathi films are launched in big ways to generate interest among the film lovers. Makers of Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Athang’ launched the trailer of their film also in a big way. They recreated the period of 1800 with all the artistes of this film along with Ashok Saraf, Director Abhijit Panse, Siddharth Jadhav, Sayali Sanjeev and Shreya Bugade dressed up in traditional attire. A specially erected horror filled set invited the attention of all the invitees.
Highlight of this event was the presence of MNS Chief Mr. Raj Thackeray who interacted with Producer Tejaswini Pandit in an interesting talk show. This talk show brought to the notice of the invitees Mr. Raj Thackeray’s love for art. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Raj Thackeray said, “ I came into politics accidentally. My first love was for art. I am a film lover. And, I see web series very rarely. But, I will surely watch ‘Athang’. It is really challenging to show the olden period on screen. Hemant Dhome upset over cancellation of ‘Sunny’ shows
In the past, we have seen cancellation of shows of Marathi films at the 11th hour, in spite of booking of cinema halls and newspaper advertising about that show in a particular cinema hall.

Now, after a long break due to spread of corona pandemic, when we see reopening of theatres with the shows of the films, there has been limited attendance in theatres. However, we have not heard about cancellation of a show and refund of tickets to the buyers.
This has happened during the show of ‘Sunny’ in Kalyan. Refund has been given to the ticket buyer, after cancellation of show. The ticket buyer has brought this to the notice of Hemant Dhome, the director of this film, who in turn was upset expressed his reaction on social media. “ When the cinema hall is booked, it is obligatory on the part of theatre owner to screen the film, even if there is one buyer of ticket. Cancelling the show and refunding the ticket amount is a bad practice. We came to know about it as the audience pointed out this to us. This has not happened at one theatre, but also at different cinema halls in Maharashtra. This is injustice.” he said.

Trailer of ‘Jeta’ launched; to be released on 25th Nov
An exciting trailer of ‘Jeta’ was launched recently with an announced that this film will be released across Maharashtra on November 25. Produced by Sanjay Laxmanrao Yadav under the banner of Sanju Entertainment along with co-producer Mihir Sanjay Yadav. ‘Jeta’ is directed by Yogesh Sahebrao Mahajan , who has also written the story and the screenplay is written by him along with Yogesh Sabnis.
The trailer of ‘Jeta’ gives a glimpse of what will be seen in the film. The exact type of Jetha’s (winner’s) story that will be seen in this film can be guessed after watching the trailer. It is the story of determination, perseverance, hard work, sacrifice, love and victory. Besides the college life, there is also an unrequited love story.
