Dhairya, Dhungya and Kabir return with ‘Boyz 3′
Sometimes, characters of a particular film create so much of impact that their character names become more popular than the actors playing these roles. Dhaairya, Dhungya and Kabir are popular characters from super hit Marathi film ‘Boyz’ , which was released five years ago. They made their presence felt in ‘Boyz 2′ which was released a year later. Both these films had done very good business at the Box office. And now, Dhaairya, Dhungya and Kabir are returning after four long years to entertain their fans via forthcoming Marathi film ‘Boyz 3′.
The teaser of ‘Boyz 3′ was released recently and these three characters are seen in south Indian attire. And now there seems to be a new girl in their life. These three popular characters are played by Pratik Lad, Parth Bhalerao and Sumant Shinde who will continue to entertain their fans with their respective popular characters. Directed by Vishal Sakharam Devrukhkar and produced by Lalasaheb Shinde, Rajendra Shinde and Sanjay Chhabriya this film will be presented by Avadhoot Gupte. This film will be released in theatres on 16th September 2022.
‘Morya’ selected for CIFF 2022 at Dhaka
Writer, director and actor Jitendra Pundalik Barde’s film ‘Morya’ has been selected at the prestigious Cinemaking International Film Festival ( CIFF) at Dhaka. Earlier, this film’s teaser was released at the Cannes festival, when it had invited the attention of many film lovers across the globe. Reacting to his film’s selection at Dhaka Festival, writer, director and actor Jitendra Pundalik Barde said, “This is the biggest honour for me and all the artistes of this film. We had done a lot of research, before presenting this subject through our film. It was our wish that our subject should reach out to the world and with the selection of our film at CIFF, Dhaka,it seems we have achieved something. ”
‘Morya’ has been produced by Tortuga Motion Pictures, Trupti Kulkarni, Rajesh Vishwanath Ahiwale and co produced by Mandar Mandke and stars Umesh Jagtap, Sanjay Bhadane, Dhanashree Patil, Rahul Rokade, Suraj Ahiwale, Rudram Barde, Kunal Punekar, Shivaji Gaikwad, Deepak Jadhav, Vijay Choudhary, Avinash Pol, Rupali Gayake and Jitendra Pundalik Barde in lead roles.
‘Raan Bazaar’ success party celebrated in a big way

Kranti Redkar begins shooting of ‘Rainbow’ in London
Few months ago Planet Marathi and Hi IQ’ had announced launch of their Marathi film ‘Rainbow’ produced by Mangorange Productions. Now, director Kranti Redkar has started shooting of this film in London. As Rainbow indicates symbol of all colours, this film will offer the journey of these colours in today’s time in relationship. To watch this rainbow created by well known artistes, film lovers are eagerly waiting for this film.
‘Rainbow’ stars Sharad Kelkar, Sonalee Kulkarni, Urmila Kothare and Rishi Saxena in lead roles. According to director Kranti Redkar, the title of this film itself is colourful. And therefore, she has tried to show this colourful journey of their relationship through this cinematic version. “Through this film, I had an opportunity to be part of Planet Marathi. The long wait is over and now I have started the shooting of this film,” she said. ‘Dagadi Chawl 2′ to be released on 18th August
Producer Sangeeta Ahir who offered a hit film ‘Daagdi Chaawl’ is now ready with the sequel of this film ‘Daagdi Chawl 2′, which will be released on 18th August 2022. An official announcement to this effect has been made on social media. Speaking on this occasion, she said, “ We are very happy to announce the release date of ‘Daagdi Chaawl-2’. Actually, we decided to make this sequel, after watching the overwhelming response to ‘Daagdi Chaawl’. We wish to release this film worldwide on 18th August.”
Makarand Deshpande who plays the lead role of Daddy , will be seen making his powerful entry once again, emerging from the crowd, while it is raining heavily. Grand Music launch of the film ‘Tamasha Live’
Few days ago the first song of the film ‘Tamasha Live’ was released, which received overwhelming response from music lovers. Now, the makers of ‘Tamasha Live’ have released the entire music of this film in a grand way, in presence of all the artistes of this film and invitees. According to director Sanjay Jadhav, “ Nowdays Marathi films are attempting new experiments . And therefore, one such experiment has been tried in ‘Tamasha Live’ , where the traditional music has been given a new look, which I am sure would impress the young generation.” This film is all set to release on 15th July 2022.
Gajendra Ahire’s flm ‘Hodi’ (Dear Molly) to be released on 1st July
Renowned director Gajendra Ahire who has directed many quality Marathi films, is now getting ready to release his latest film Hodi (Dear Molly) which will also be released in Hindi and English languages besides Marathi. Recently, the poster of this film was released recently and it has become clear that Gurbani Gill, Alok Rajwade, Mrunmayee Godbole, Ashwini Giri, Liya Boysen and Christer Holmgren in lead roles.

Milind Kavde’s ‘Takatak 2′ to be released on 19th August
After offering a super hit ‘Takatak (टकाटक)’ three years ago, director Milind Kavde‘s much-awaited sequel ‘Takatak 2′ has been announced jointly by Reliance Entertainment and Purple Blue Entertainment . This film will be released on 19th August 2022 all over Maharashtra. The film will see Prathamesh Parab in the lead once again, accompanied by Akshay Kelkar, Ajinkya Raut, Bhumika Kadam, Pranali Bhalerao, Komal Bodkhe, Sushant Divekar, Swapnil Rajeshirke, Kiran Mane, Pankaj Vishnu, Kiran Baird, RJ Mahesh Kale, Smita Dongre and others.
According to the makers of this film, While the original was a wild and rib-tickling entertainer, the new part is touted to be a bolder and bigger bonanza of laughs.
Talking about his film, director Milind Kavde says, “If Takatak tickled your funny bone, the second part will make you guffaw even more. We have kept the soul of the original intact while bringing a sassier feel to the story, taking the humour one step further.” Filmed in the serene locales of Goa, sources close to the crew reveal that an exclusive sneak peek of the movie is about to drop soon. Dipak Karanjikar to receive ICON award
Renowned Marathi veteran Actor, writer and director Dipak Karanjikar will receive Janasthan ICON award in Nashik. This award will be presented to him for his efforts to popularize and staging Marathi dramas all over India and outside India. Besides holding important posts in administrative and non administrative services, he has promoted our Indian culture in the best way . Along with Deepak Karanjikar two other personalities, namely Vinayak Ranade and Prakash Holkar will also be felicitated for their contribution in promoting Marathi literature abroad.
The awards will be presented by well known Poet Ashok Bagwe at a special grand ceremony on 22nd June in Nashik.
