‘mee vasantrao’ celebrates 50 days run in theatres
Marathi film ‘Mee Vasntaro’ a presentation by Jio Studios has completed 50 days run in theatres besides collecting a good amount in Crores at the box office. But, more than that this film has received appreciation from many renowned personalities, which is the biggest achievement by the makers of this film and director Nipun Dharmadhikari.
Popular actor Nana Patekar has praised actor Rahul for portraying Vasantrao with perfection, making this a best film, while actor Makarand Deshpande has appreciated the rich culture presented through this film. Well Known scientist Padmavibhushan Raghunath Malshekar after watching this film reacted, “ This film has inspired me to work for another twenty years. This is just not a film but there are many things to learn from this film.”

Sanjay Mone grabs all the attention on Marathi television
As an actor he has already established himself in all the three forms of entertainment i.e. stage, television and films. Moreover, as a script writer also he has received recognition. We are talking about Sanjay Mone (संजय मोने ), who has already written many plays. Sanjay will be celebrating his 62nd birthday on 21st May 2022 . And he has a reason to celebrate it in a big way.
Incidentally, Sanjay’s Marathi film ‘Godavari’ is being screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. He has also organised his Mango festival on 21st and 22nd May at Vanita Samaj Hall, Dadar. Sanjay, who recently made his entry into the most popular Police detective serial ‘Tumchi Mulgi Kaay Karte?’ has grabbed all the attention. Jitendra Joshi wins best actor award at NYIFF, USA
Versatile Marathi actor Jitendra Joshi is in the news. He has won Best actor’s award for the film ‘Godavari (गोदावरी)’ at the New York Indian Film Festival ( NYIFF) 2022. ‘Godavari’ is Jio Studios presented Marathi film , which is produced by Blue Drop Films and Jitendra Joshi Pictures. This film has already earned a name at different national and international film festivals , wherever it was screened.
Directed by Nikhil Mahajan, this film will now be screened among the five films at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival . Speaking about his film director Nikhil Mahajan said, “I am glad that Jitendra was selected for the best actor’s award at NYIFF. This film was completed in 17 days.” The film stars Jitendra Joshi, Vikram Gokhale, Neena Kulkarni, Sanjay Mone, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Gauri Nalavade in lead roles.
New Web Series ‘RaanBaazaar’ to release on 20th May
After directing popular Marathi films like ‘Rege’ and ‘Thackeray’, Abhijit Panse is now ready with his new Marathi web series ‘RaanBaazaar (रानबाजार)’ which will be released on OTT platform on 20th May 2022. Ever since its official announcement, forthcoming Marathi film ‘Y’ has created a lot of curiosity among film lovers about its unique title. Now, actress Mukta Barve has posted her own photo carrying the big printed letter ‘Y’ on social media. Subsequently, Swapnil Joshi, Neena Kulkarni and Prajakta Mali were also seen displaying the letter ‘Y’ on their posts on social media. ‘Vijayi Bhav’ gets ready for release on 20th May
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Vijayi Bhav (विजयी भव)’ has been in news for the past few days, after the trailer of this film was released. Now, the wait is over, as this film is getting ready for release all over Maharashtra on 20th May 2022. Produced by Swastik Motion Pictures Productions and presented by Kenil Entertainment, this film is produced by Kirtan Gordhanbhai Patel , Jagdish M. Pawar and is directed by Shailesh Patel and Atul Sonar, the new director duo.
‘Vijayi Bhav!’, Pooja Jaiswal, Sonali Dalvi
The story of the film is set on the backdrop of Palaskheda village. Kabaddi matches are played in this village every five years to elect a new sarpanch. The candidate who wins all the matches gets the position of the Sarpanch. When we hear the word Politics, words like maneuver, deceit, vengeance, guile, guerrilla warfare, jealousy, and claims come into the picture in our minds. The same politics will be seen associated with the game of kabaddi in this film. All that remains to be seen, whether the sportsmanship in the game succeeds in overcoming politics or not.

Biopic of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ‘Chaava – The Great Warrior’ announced
On the eve of the birth anniversary of the Great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Producers Vaibhav Bhor , Sunny Rajani and director Rahul Janardan Jadhav announced their film ‘Chaava – The Great Warrior ( छावा-दि ग्रेट वॉरियर )’ which will be a biopic on his courage and bravery filled life. This film, which is presented by Malhar Pictures is based on the book ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’ written by Dr. Jaisingrao Pawar.
Speaking on this occasion, director Rahul Jadhav said, “Shambhuraje is a real Youth Icon, as he took lessons Political Science from the little age of 9 years. Being the first Yuvraj of Swarajya he was not only well versed with Battle strategies but was proficient with 14 languages and literature. I always wanted to make a film on a real hero and my wish has been fulfilled with this film.” The film will be released soon.
Teaser of Comedy film ‘Bhirkit’ released
Few days ago poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bhirkit (भिरकीट)’ had raised a lot of curiosity among the film lovers. Presented by Classic Enterprises and produced by Suresh Jamatlal Oswal and Bhagyavanti Suresh Oswal and directed by Anup Jagdale, now the teaser of this film has been released.
This so called comedy film stars versatile artistes like Girish Kulkarni, Hrishikesh Joshi, Monalisa Bagal, Kushal Badrike, Sagar Karande, Tanaji Galgunde, Kailas Waghmare, Usha Naik and Yakub Sayed.
Screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Pratap Gangavane and music is composed by Shail and Pritesh. According to the director Anup Jagdale, “This film presents the story about all of us. How much of humanity is left in human beings today in this materialistic world and how much we have changed today, is what the film’s story is all about. This is a multi starrer film and therefore all the versatile artistes have been selected for their respective roles. National award winning actor Girish Kulkarni plays the lead role of ‘Tatya’ in this film.” This film will be released all over Maharashtra on 17th June 2022.
