Trailer of ‘Faas’ unveiled on social media
The dream of every father and mother is to see that their child achieves what they could not achieve. However, the makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Faas (फास)’ feel that the farmers are not able to dream big, as they are not able to provide the basic needs to their children. And this reality they would like to present through their film ‘Faas’ which is slated for release in all cinema houses in Maharashtra on 4th February 2022. The trailer of this film was unveiled recently on social media.
‘Faas’ has been presented by Maheshwari Patil Chakurkar of Maa Entertainmentand has been produced in collaboration with Naresh Patil, Pallavi Palkar, Dayanand Avrade, Basavraj Patil and Vaishali Paddevad jointly, with Avinash Kolte as the director. The film has already been appreciated at various national as well as international film festivals. The story as well as dialogues of ‘Faas’ have been penned by Maheshwari Patil Chakurkar, while Avinash Kolte has shouldered the responsibility of not only writing the screenplay but has also handling the direction of the film.
The national award winning versatile actor Upendra Limye will be seen playing a responsible police officer in the film which also stars Kamlesh Sawant as a farmer and Sayaji Shinde as a Doctor, besides actors like Pallavi Palkar, Ganesh Chandanshive, Namdeo Patil, Gyanesh Undgaonkar, Nilesh Bade, Umesh Rajhans, Sharad Kakde, Ishwar More, Pawan Vaidya, Vinay Joshi, Deva Pandey, Pooja Tayade, Tejaswini, Madhuri Bharti and Shrutika Londe. Ramani Ranjan Das is the D.O.P of the film while, Apoorva Motiwale and Aashish Mhatre have edited it. Art Direction by Santosh Samudre.’
‘Devmanus’ fame Madhuri Pawar will be seen in ‘Dishabhool’
Madhuri Pawar who shot into fame with her performance in TV series like ‘Devmanus’ and ‘Tujhyat Jeev Rangala’ will now be seen in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dishabhool (दिशाभूल)’ in an important role. The dancing actress had also become popular with her video on social media. Recently, muhurat of ‘Dishabhool’ was held in Pune, when this announcement was made in presence of director Ashish Kailas Jain and producer Aarti Chavan.
Speaking about this film director Ashish Jain said, “This film is about college youth. And it will offer a new subject filled with suspense, romance and friendship.” The film’s shooting has already begun and besides Madhuri Pawar, the film stars popular pair of TV serial ‘Mrs. Mukhyamantri’ – Amruta Ghongde and Tejas Barve, along with Shashank Shende, Pranav Raorane, Arun Kadam, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Ashutosh Wadekar, Shubham Mandhre, and Priya Berde.

After directing successful Marathi films like ‘Uldhaal‘, ‘Satrani Re’, [movie review] ‘Narbachi Wadi’ [movie review] , ‘Classmates’ [movie review] & ‘Faster Fene’, [movie review] Aditya Sarpotdar has released the trailer of his new Marathi film ‘Zombivli (झोंबिवली)’ which will be a Horror Comedy. Aditya himself has unveiled the exciting trailer of this film on social media with an appeal to his well wishers to share the same among others.
In the trailer, we notice lead actor Amey Wagh and lead actress Vaidehi Parshurami facing the so called Zombies, while they are travelling in a car. They go to the police station and explain the Police officer about their description; but the Policeman is ready to believe him. The Zombies are most commonly found in horror and fantasy genre works in English films. So, in Marathi, this seems to be a new experiment tried by director Aditya Sarpotdar. Along with Amey Wagh and Vaidehi Parshurami the film also stars Lalit Prabhakar, Trupti Khankar and others.
The date of release of this film has been announced as 26th January 2022. So, let us wait and see how Amey Wagh and others succeed in countering these zombies in this film.
“Marathi film ‘Kaanbhatt (कानभट)’ will inspire children” – Aparana S Hosing
Nowadays, a particular theme considered in the film has widened its outlook. The film maker just doesn’t want to offer only entertainment to the viewers, but much beyond that. They want a theme in the film to make the viewers react with excitement, “Yes, this is it!’. This is worth watching film with family, The children should just not be entertained in those nearing 3 hours of film, but also be inspired by the film. Actually, Cinema has a huge impact on people and especially children. They try to imitate what is portrayed in the reel life in our real life.
According to the makers of Marathi film ‘Kaanbhatt (कानभट )’, this is the kind of film that can be viewed by everyone, regardless of the age. The film beautifully captures the life of a young boy ‘Prabhat’, who follows his dream and desire, but destiny has some other plans for him, for which he goes on a different path. The story depicts the relationship between Ved and Science. The film has portrayed a beautiful lesson to everyone that every child is different and have different needs in this world.
On the Other side, recently we saw a trailer of a Marathi film, which itself indicated a low-quality art. The trailer showed absolutely incorrect scenes and dialogues about the women and children. There were many objectionable obscene scenes with children, in this trailer. And, after watching the trailer, people all over the country including Maharashtra are expressed intense rage. No wonder, after receiving complaints, this trailer was removed from social media. Better, not to talk about some of the Marathi Web films, which are using very bad and rough language.
Commenting on this issue, Producer and Director of ‘Kaanbhatt’ - Aparana S Hosing Says, “Marathi cinema is known for its content-based films. This industry has received appreciation when trying different, Wrong or right is debatable but a lot depends on trade and those who control the trade. ‘Kaanbhat (कानभट)’ movie was Highly appreciated by family audience and at international film festival, but not so warm acceptance by so called sitting on top of hierarchy in trade. It’s not just about director, a lot depends on the commercial aspect of the film and we have to see through that also”.
We need more films like ‘Kaanbhatt’ to educate our Child.
‘Khisa’ bags Prabodhan best Marathi shortfilm award
Marathi short film ‘Khisa (खिसा)’ has bagged the Prabodhan best Short film award, while the director of this film Raj More has bagged the best director award at the recently concluded Prabodhan International Short film festival, Goregaon. Madan Kale directed film ‘Lagaam (लगाम)’ bagged the second prize, while Viraj Jhunjharrao directed ‘Side Mirror (साईड मिरर)’ bagged the third prize in this competition.
The awards were presented in a ceremony in presence of chief guest Sandeep Kulkarni, Prabodhan , Goregaon founder and Maharashtra Industry Minister Subhash Desai, Senior Film Critic Ashok rane, director Nikhil Mahajan and Prabodhan President Nitin Shinde. Among the other prize winners were,

Poster of ‘Aashray’ launched on social media
We have observed that some Marathi films are made with a sense of social consciousness. Such films do succeed in capturing the minds of the audience as well as critics. Such films also invite attention of the people all over the world, if selected for international film festivals. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Aashray (आश्रय)’, which which falls in this category, will soon appear in theatres. The first poster of ‘Ashray’ has just been launched and is being appreciated with positive reactions on social media.
This film is presented by Sankalp Motion Films and produced by Abhishek Sanjay Phade. Producers, directors, actors and technicians were present at the poster launch event along with some special guests. According to the makers of this film, an effort has been made to draw attention to the important issues in the society through this film.
‘Aashray (आश्रय)’ has been directed by Ramesh Popat Nanavare and Santosh Sahebrao Kapase. In this film, the audience will get to see the story of an orphaned little child. The film is expected to inspire youngsters who are motivated to move forward on their own. It stars Nishigandha Wad, Shweta Pagar, Amey Barve, Sunil Godbole, Deepali Kulkarni and many more actors.
The story of this film is written by Abhishek Sanjay Phade and the screenplay-dialogues are written by Dixit Sarvade. DOP Raju Deshmukh and Prathamesh Shirke have done the cinematography and the editor is Pradip Panchal. Music is by Vishal Burudkar and Aniket Jain is in charge of background music. Written by Aarti Abhishek Phade, the lyrics are sung by Anand Shinde, Rishikesh Ranade and Aarti herself. VFX and DI handled by Jayesh Malkapure.
‘Law of Love’ all set for release on 4th February
On the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, debutant actor and producer J. Uday has announced on social media, the release date of his new Marathi film ‘Law of Love’. The film produced under the banner of Vedika Film Creations will be released all over Maharashtra, during the Valentine month on 4th February 2022.
Newcomer Shalvi Shah is the leading lady of this film opposite actor J. Uday. The other artistes of this film are, Mohan Joshi, Yatin Karyekar, Anil Nagarkar, Ravi Kadam, Yogesh Pawar, Sachin Maske as well as actress Prachi Palwe in important roles. Speaking about his film actor- producer J. Uday says,” We are in readiness to reveal the new vocabulary of love through the language of a film. And, we are sure to win the hearts of audiences through this film.”
Kranti Redkar directed film soon on Planet Marathi
Well Known Marathi actress Kranti Redkar had made her debut in direction few years ago through her film ‘Kakan’. Now, her second film as director ‘Rainbow- Sohala Aathvya Rangacha (रेनबो – सोहळा आठव्या रंगाचा)’ will soon release on Planet Marathi OTT platform. This film has been produced by Planet Marathi’s Akshay Bardapurkar and Mangorange Productions’ Hridaya Bannerjee. The film will present colourful journey of changing relationship in today’s generation and stars Sonalee Kulkarni and Rishi Saxena in lead roles.
Speaking about her film director Kranti Redkar said that she was happy about her association with Planet Marathi through her film and has thanked Planet Marathi for giving her this opportunity. “After ‘Kanan’ I wanted to attempt something new and first wrote the story of this film. Thereafter, I found suitable artistes. They are all my good friends and therefore I am enjoying their company. I am sure, the audience will like this film.” Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar has also praised the work of Kranti in her earlier film ‘Kakan’ and feels confident about her work as a director in this film too.
सोनी मराठी वाहिनीवरील ‘ज्ञानेश्वर माउली’ मालिकेचे १०० भाग पूर्ण

कलर्स मराठीवर नुकत्याच सुरू झालेल्या ‘तुझ्या रूपाचं चांदन(Tujhya Rupacha Chandana)’ मालिकेला प्रेक्षकांचा ऊतम प्रतिसाद मिळत आहे. मालिकेत काही दिवसांआधीच “दत्ता”ची एंट्री झाली. रोहित चंद्रा ही भूमिका साकारत असून त्याच्या लुकची चर्चा सगळीकडेच आहे. नक्षत्राला नरकच्या दारातून खेचून, नक्षत्राचं दु:ख दूर कसे करेल, तिचं रक्षण कसं करेल हे मालिकेत बघायला मिळणार आहे. दत्ता आणि नक्षी आता संकट अडकले असून ते या संकटातून कसे बाहेर पडतील हे लवकरच कळेल.
मालिकेमध्ये मयूर मोरे याची भूमिका आपल्या सगळ्यांचा लाडका सुशांत शेलार साकारात आहे. तर आता मालिकेमध्ये अजून एक नवीन एंट्री होणार आहे आणि ती म्हणजे महेश्वरी यांची ही भूमिका सुरेखा कुडची साकारणार आहे. याविषयी बोलताना त्या म्हणाल्या, “आतापर्यंत तुम्ही मला बर्याच वेगवेगळ्या भूमिकांमध्ये पाहिले आहे. याचसोबत कलर्स मराठीवर्ल बिग बॉस मराठी पर्व तिसरेमध्ये तुम्ही मला भरभरून प्रेम दिले. आणि या घरातून बाहेर पडल्यावर मी आता पुन्हाएकदा येते आहे तुमच्या भेटीला एका नव्या भूमिकेत. दत्ताच्या आईची ही भूमिका असून महेश्वरी पाटील ही भूमिका करताना मला मनापासून खूप आनंद होतो आहे. या भूमिकेत एक वेगळेपणा आहे कारण ही स्त्री राजकीय क्षेत्रामध्ये आहे.विषय थोडा वेगळा आहे तुम्हांला हे बघताना नक्कीच कळेल.”
