First song by Shreya Ghoshal from the film ‘Baloch’ released
The first song from the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baloch’ has been released in the voice of popular singer Shreya Ghoshal. The song is written by Guru Thakur and the music is composed by Narendra Bhide. With suitable title wordings ‘Khulya Jivala Aas Khuli ’ this romantic song has been picturised on husband and wife played by Pravin Tarde and Smita Gondkar.
The song clearly displays the happiness of the wife who is happy with whatever little time she finds in the company of her warrior husband, be it while exercising or relaxing at home. And this gives a clear indication that besides being an action packed film with fight against injustice, it will also present a love story. We are all aware that the role of the wife of a soldier fighting for the country is equally important in his family.
Produced by Vishwagunj Picture and Kirti Varadkar this film will be released all over Maharashtra on 5th May 2023.
Smita Gondkar to appear in new music video ‘Saajani Tu’
Smita Gondkar who shot into fame with her popular music video ‘Pappi De Parula’ later became a popular actress in Marathi film industry and on television. She had done many music videos in the past. Now, she has returned to music video, with her new song ‘Saajani Tu’ which is made on Aditya Barve‘s music and direction. The music video has been presented by Saptasur Music and will be available on Youtube channel of Saptasur Music.
This video is produced by VB Films and Seven Wonders Motion Pictures. Ambarish Deshpande has written this song while Hrishikesh Ranade has rendered his voice for this song. Cinematography by Ashok Pawar and editing by Rohan Gogate and Ajit Negi are the other credits of this music video. Smita’s return to Music video field is the main attraction of this new video

Marathi celebrities form a group to appeal people on the backdrop of corona
During this ongoing lock down in all parts of Maharashtra, people are required to stay at home which has affected their daily routine. This has resulted in their isolation from social life. Many people are feeling lonely and this has also affected their mental health. Our Marathi celebrities are no exception. In an advanced country like USA people required to stay alone have sought medical assistance. But, looking at the present critical situation there is no way to escape from this lock down, which is likely to be extended.

Psychological thrillers are favourite subjects of many film lovers. But, they need a gripping screenplay to capture the attention of audience. Till now, in Marathi we have seen conventional psycho thrillers, which were influenced by some of our old bollywood films on these subjects, though very few have offered out of the box themes. Latest released Marathi film ‘Bhay‘ falls in the category of conventional style subjects, where we see Gokul Joshi ( Abhijit Khandkekar) the hero of this film suffering from Schizophrenia.
Having phobia of so many things like boarding an elevator , vehicles running on the street etc. He keeps on changing his residence to suit his convenience. Instead of driving his own car, he travels by public transport bus. But, that does not stop his disturbance. One day, after noticing a shoot out incidence on the road, he rushes back home and even Knocks down his wife Meera ( Smita Gondkar) , who is in the initial stage of pregnancy. Gokul is not the only eye witness to the murder of a Builder, who has been attacked by a sharp shooter Bharat ( Vinit Sharma) and his men, on the instructions of a minister –Jagtap( Uday Tikekar) . The other eye witnesses are Praful ( Siddharth Kulkarni), his girlfriend Taniya ( Sanskruti Balgude) and few others, including a senior citizen.
In comes a special investigating police officer Inspector Vishwas Zurunge (Satish Rajwade) who not only investigates the murder and people behind it, but also finishes off the gangsters. Director Atul Bhatankar, who is an editing expert, having made his debut as a director through ‘Time Bara Vait‘ in 2015, has incorporated some interesting happenings in the screenplay of the film; but that gives a conventional look to this film. There is nothing extra ordinary happening in the first part of the film. Instead, he could have made this part more gripping with the help of other characters played by Sanskruti Balgude and others. In the film, Sanskruti has been used just like a character artiste, except for a dream song picturisation in Dubai , in which she looks stunning with designer costumes.
Abhijit Khandkekar does justice to his character of Gokul with good performance, while Smita Gondkar has very little to offer in the first part of the film. The character of sharp shooter played by Vinit Sharma, has been given more than required importance, only to show that people like them are used and exploited by the politicians for their selfish gains. Uday Tikekar has very little to do as a selfish politician, but he has played his part well. Rajesh Rathore’s camera work, background score by Sameer Phaterpekar, costumes by Swapnil Kamble and editing work by the director himself are worth appreciating.
Those who love to watch psychological thrillers, this film will not disappoint them, as it is a conventional style psychological action thriller.

Marathi film ‘Bhay’ to present Bollywood style music
Marathi film makers have been trying different experiments in the music department of their films. Till now, many Bollywood personalities have been associated either as singers or music directors of Marathi films. Now, 5G International’s Suspense filled Marathi film ‘Bhay‘ has also tried a different experiment to present Bollywood style music through their film. Directed by Rahul Bhatankar, this film is now all set to release on 24th March 2017.
The team associated with songs and music of this film are, Shekhar Astitva, who has penned lyrics of Bollywood films like ‘Rockey handsome‘ & ‘Ishq Vishq’; Music directors Vikram Montroj makes his debut in Marathi along with Brijesh Shandilya, while Bollywood singers Tulika Upadhyay, Ali Aslam also make their debut as singers. Above all, Sameer Phatarphekar has given background music of ‘Bhay‘ film. Now, it remains to be seen, how the Marathi audience would respond to ‘Bhay‘ film’s music.
Bollywood stars Raveena Tandon and Sohail launch the music of ‘Bhay’
The grand music launch of 5G International presented and Sachin Katarnawre produced Marathi film ‘Bhay‘ , was held in presence of popular Bollywood stars Raveena Tandon and Sohail Khan recently. On this occasion, the Trailer of this film and songs were screened. Actors Raveena Tandon and Sohail Khan praised the makers of this film Marathi and expressed that this film would definitely be a new experience for the film lovers.
While praising all the artistes of ‘Bhay‘ , Raveena Tandon also expressed her wish to act in Marathi films. The big news about this film disclosed on this occasion was, it will also be released in three other languages, Tamil, Telugu and Arabic, besides Marathi . Rahul Bhathankar has directed this film besides editing it.
‘Bhay‘ has three songs of different genres and have been picturized in a different style. The songs would take the viewers on a small journey on a cruise, with beautiful visuals of helipads and skyscrapers of Dubai besides famous beaches. Lyrics by Shekhar Astitva and music by Vikram Montrose released by Zee Music, are the other credits .

Rajendra Shisatkar to play title role in ‘Mr. & Mrs. Unwanted’
We have been watching Rajendra Shisatkar in the role of Police officer in many films, including a popular Hindi TV serial ‘Crime Patrol’ . Now, Rajendra will be seen in title role of ‘Mr. Unwanted’ in the film ‘Mr.& Mrs. Unwanted’. In the film, he plays a Bank Manager. Along with Rajendra, ‘Pappi De’ video song fame Smita Gondkar, will seen in the role of an event manager.
‘Mr.& Mrs. Unwanted’ will present a story of a couple, which goes after unwanted luxuries in life. Produced by Mitang Bhupesh Rawat, the film is directed by Dinesh Anant, who makes his debut as a director, through this film. He had earlier worked as assistant director for award winning films like ‘Shwaas’ and ‘Dombivali fast’. Dinesh has also written the screenplay of this film. Music by Shrihari vaze and cinematography by Sachin Gadankush are the other credits.
